DEATH: E. CAROLYN HAGER

E. Carolyn Hager, a longtime Holladay resident died, September 7, 1994, age 92.

Born in Dana, Indiana on September 20, 1901 to May Harrington Peters and Francis T. Peters. Attended Illinois Women's College and did volunteer work at the school for the deaf in Jacksonville. She was a proud Red Cross volunteer in Illinois during World War II and at both the Centralia Coal Mine Disaster and during the polio epidemic.Former member of Town Club, P.E.O. Chapter H; Petroleum Wives, WAIMME, St. Mark's Episcopal Church; and Pink Lady at the old St. Mark's Hospital.

Preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers and her husband (and best friend) Dolsey Hager, a brilliant and caring man to all his step family.

Survived by son, John Mack Moore; daughter, Pat Cummings; grandchildren, Kathy Crosman and husband, John; Kristy Henshaw; Jacqueline Newell and husband Dan; Michael Moore; Tony Cummings; and John Dorsey Cummings; also nine great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by all her family and friends.

Services will be held at St. Mark's Cathedral Friday, September 9, 1994 at 1 p.m. Friends may call for one hour before the service.
