Snowbird's 22nd annual Oktoberfest, which began over the Labor Day weekend, will run each Saturday and Sunday until Sunday, Oct. 9.
This event is filled with bird-dancing, bratwurst, polkas and potato pancakes. Festivities in the Snowbird Event Center will run from noon to 6 p.m.Beginning Saturday, Sept. 17, handmade crafts and European gifts will be sold as part of the celebration. Admission is free.
Snowbird will also sponsor other activities.
On Friday through Sunday, Oct. 14 to 16, there will be a ski and sport swap for people looking to buy or sell ski equipment.
The swap will take place Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For-sale equipment can be checked in Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event will be in the Snowbird Event Center. Admission is $1 for adults and children 12 and under are free. All money raised benefits the Snowbird Race Team, a nonprofit organization.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Snowbird Canyon Racquet Club will host the second annual Art Extravaganza to help the Snowbird Disabled Skier Program, a non-profit organization, from 4 to 9 p.m.
The benefit will include a silent auction of works by some of Utah's finest artists as well as a drawing. A $15 donation includes admittance, hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Call 521-6040, Ext. 4080.
