DUKES TIE SERIES WITH 7-5 VICTORY OVER THE SKY SOX

Todd Hollingsworth's pinch-hit single in the eighth drove in the winning run Thursday night as the Albuquerque Dukes beat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 7-5 to even their best-of-5 Pacific Coast League series at 1-1.

The teams resume the series tonight in Albuquerque.Leading 5-4 in the top of the eighth, Colorado Springs was forced to bring in three pitchers in an attempt to salvage the game.

Tom Prince, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI, led off the eighth for the Dukes with a single, and Eddie Pye sacrificed him to second. Pinch-hitter Reggie Williams then singled, but Prince held at third.

Roger Cedeno's RBI single tied the game 5-5 before Hollingsworth scored Williams with a single.

The Dukes added a run in the ninth when Bill Ashley singled, went to second on an infield out, stole third and scored on Steve Allen's wild pitch.

Todd Williams got the win for the Dukes, while Randy Marshall took the loss for the Sox.

Colorado reclaimed the lead for the last time in the bottom half of the 4th when Brito hit a two-run homer.
