The Utah Antique Machinery Association will present the National Antique Machinery Show Sept. 22-25, at West Jordan Park, 8000 S. 1300 West.
The show features a collection of huffing and puffing, snorting and wheezing machines by collectors from across the United States and many foreign countries.This is the first time in 75 years Utah has hosted the national association.
Included in the show will be steam and gasoline engines, steam and gasoline tractors, a sawmill, a shingle mill, steam whistles and a hay bailer. Demonstrations will include a working sawmill, a tractor pull and an antique tractor parade.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, Powder Ridge, a bluegrass band, will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes both the machinery show and concert. The show will be open daily from 10 a.m. to dusk and general admission is $4 on days other than Saturday. For information call 521-7300.
