Jessie Mae Purser Burgess, 88, passed away October 9, 1995 in Sandy, Utah.

Born September 24, 1907 in Hyde Park, Cache County, Utah, daughter of John and Sarah Jane Kirby Purser. Married Lambert Robinson Burgess February 26, 1926 in Logan, Utah; later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Jessie was an active member of the LDS Church and served as president of Relief Society, Primary and as coordinator of Junior Sunday School. She was a member of the Rigby Literary Club.Survived by daughters, Helen and H. Dale Young, Salt Lake City; Barbara Cheshire, Murray; Marjorie and Lloyd Oswald, West Valley City; son, Robert Glade and Linda Burgess, Virginia Beach, Virginia; 29 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Emma Purser, Rigby, Idaho. Preceded in death by husband, son, Doyle; grandson, Michael; son-in-law, James Cheshire; great-granddaughter, Kimberly Oswald.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be held Thursday, 4:30 p.m., at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, Rigby, Idaho.
