Stanley E. Godwin, 73, died October 10, 1995 in Salt Lake City.

Stanley was a painting contractor and past president of the Rocky Mountain P.D.C.A. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stanley was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed for his keen intelligence, wit and love of nature. Stanley married Lillian Lauritzen in the Salt Lake Temple on September 11, 1942.Stanley is survived by his wife, Lillian L. Godwin, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Karla Erskine and husband, Earl; and Dianna Mathew, all of Sandy; three sisters, Helen Roll, Barbara Torreyson, and Dolores Roll, all of Salt Lake City; one brother, Lee Godwin, Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Todd Erksine, Kristi Erskine, Jennifer Shill, Jeff Shill, Chris Erskine, Scott Erskine and Brandy Terkelson, all of Sandy.

Visitation will be held at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City on Thursday, October 12, 1995 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10:45 to 11:45 at the Rose Park 7th Ward at 1155 North 1200 West and Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 noon. Burial will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
