Josiah David Sims died October 19, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born January 8, 1915 in Marianna, Florida to George Ellington and Florence Clamton Sims. Married Zadie Mae Melvin July 15, 1936 in Panama City, Florida; their marriage was solemnized in 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired after 40 years of service with International Paper Co.Survived by his wife; children, Charles D. Sims, West Jordan; Helen S. (Don) Eaves, Cordova, Tenn.; Linda K. Berry, Salt Lake City; (Carla) Sims, West Jordan; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Beulah Coleman, Deloss Sims, Coralee Philastre, George A. Sims, James Sims, Florence Potter, Arthur Sims, Thelma Hill. Preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Gerald.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, 1995, at 10 a.m. at the Jordan 3rd Ward, 3700 West 4700 South. Friends may call Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church.
