It's not Comdex, but the Salt Palace computer and technology show this week is a pretty good mini-imitation.
The two-day show, which ends tonight at 8, attracted more than 200 exhibitors who make or provide high-tech products and services - from Internet service providers to laptop computers with interchangeable bays to solutions for data storage.Hosts of the show are Trade Shows West, which has put on the Utah Computer and Business Show, and the State of Utah, sponsor of Technology 2000.
Janet Buckley, director of education for USConnect Education, said her company was getting the word out about its new name and what it does.
US Connect Education, formerly known as Business Computer Systems, provides computer training as well as systems integration.
"It's not Comdex, but for the type of show it is, we're pulling in some business," said Glen Snarr, a representative of Touch-It Paper, an Ogden business.
