I really think it is about time someone addresses the problem that our local stores are allowing their customers to deceive the employees of the centers.

We were victims of such a scheme and to think that stores are afraid of offending their dishonest customers by not requiring them to show picture ID should be a crime. I was at a store the other day when a young man had a drivers license and check from a woman he claimed was his mother and wanted to cash the check. No one really required him to show his own license, so how do they know that was his mother and not a stolen wallet? These stores are afraid to offend the "customer" for fear they will not return.

I have spoke to many residents here in the valley and all wish we would be required to show our picture ID and we would not be offended. I would now like to hear and see what stores require picture ID when cashing a check; that is the store I want to do my shopping at and start avoiding those stores that are afraid to offend me by avoiding more ID than just a check you filled out.
