Atlanta Braves players rejoice on the field after winning the World Series against the Cleveland Indians. Tom Glavine's brilliant pitching and David Justice's home run powered Atlanta to a 1-0 triumph in the sixth game. The victory allows the Braves, who have won more games than any other baseball team in the 1990s, to shuck the label (shared with football's Buffalo Bills) of "best team never to win a championship." The Braves, who have been in three of the past four World Series, became the first franchise to win the Series in three cities, in Boston in 1914 and Milwaukee in 1957 and now Atlanta. See Page D1.
