Betty Lou Duke Ganz, 48, passed away October 26, 1995 at her home.

Born 19 May 1947 in Heber City, Utah to Robert Junior and Dorothy Eleanor Johnson Duke. Graduate Wasatch High School and Weber State College. Married William Joe Ganz, son of Floyd and Roma Ganz, 27 Dec 1975, in Murray, Utah; solemnized Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member LDS Church: Relief Society president and counselor, ward organist, primary teacher. Former employee Key Airlines and The Homestead; piano teacher; Utah State PTA Leadership vice president (4 years) and local treasurer; Parkside Elementary School PTA president; Wasatch High School studentbody secretary (2 years).Betty loves music. As a loving, caring piano teacher for 16 years, she touched the lives of many children. She has brought much joy through sharing her talents in many family, church and community settings.

Betty has a great love of children, especially her own. Others always come first, and everyone with whom she associates loves her great sense of humor and caring nature. All felt her love through the twinkle in her eye. She is a wonderful friend who left warm and fond memories. She will be greatly missed.

Survived by husband, daughter, and sons: Brittany, C. Aaron, Matt W., all Murray; mother and step-father, Eleanor and Ange Nelsen, Heber City; sister, Mary Ella Duke-Baxter (Kevin), Eugene, Ore.; brother, Chad "R" Duke (Jill), South Jordan, Utah. Preceded in death by father.

Funeral services Tuesday, 31 Oct 1995, 12 noon, Murray 1st Ward, 363 East Vine Street. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Tuesday, 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
