Richard Thomas Kenney, 85, our devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, died October 28, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dick was born December 5, 1909 in Salt Lake City, the eldest son of Clarence Kenney and Olive Emaline Neves. He married Josephine Lucille Lyday in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, December 22, 1930. They were blessed with nine children, 46 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He worked in Ice Cream sales, Road Building, Typewriter repair, Washing Machine repair, Lumber distribution, and retired with 30 years service with the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and held many positions including Temple worker and missionary. He served as a missionary in Tennessee in 1931 and with his wife on two missions in both Billings, Montana and West Yellowstone.He was preceded in death by three grandchildren and is survived by his wife, Josephine; sister, Dorothy; sons: Richard (Beulah) Kenney, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Ronald (Heather) Kenney, Fort Worth, Texas; David (Barbara) Kenney, Salt Lake City, Utah; Thomas (Elaine) Kenney, Sandy, Utah; Marcia (David) Collings, Kaysville, Utah; Mary (Brent) Olsen, Layton, Utah; Howard (Lori) Kenney, Spokane, Wash.; Debby Kenney, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Judy (Corry) Van Tiendren, Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral services will be at 12 Noon, on Tuesday, October 31, 1995, in the Stratford East Ward, 2605 South 1500 East. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Monday evening, 6-8 p.m., and at the Ward on Tuesday, from 11-11:45 a.m., prior to the services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4391 West 4100 South.
