On the morning of October 25, 1995, Harry L. Post passed peacefully beyond the veil to return to his Heavenly Father. He was 79 years old, having been born February 2, 1916, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Worthie Haskins and Emily Allsworth Post.

A veteran of World War II, Harry was always proud to have served his country. Following victory in the Pacific, Harry returned to Salt Lake where he met and married his sweetheart, Merle Lloyd, in the Salt Lake Temple on January 15, 1953. He worked for ZCMI for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. Active in the LDS Church, he served in many capacities. He especially enjoyed his calling as a stake missionary. He always set a good example for all who knew him and was always a true gentleman. He very much enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren, of whom he was very proud.Survived by daughter, Mindy (Paul) Ashton and his two sons, Dale (Julie) Post and Kevin (Lois) Post. Also survived by seven grandsons and eight granddaughters. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Merle, daughter, Laury, and brother, William A. "Bill" Post. The family rejoices in knowing that he has been reunited with his loved ones, especially his beloved wife whom he has greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 12 noon, Kimball Ward, 2280 So. 300 E. A viewing will be held at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr., Sunday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. and at the Kimball Ward on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery (plot located at 445 N. 10th E.).
