SHARE DEATH: ELIZABETH NIELSON

Elizabeth Brazier Mitchell Nielson peacefully passed away on October 27, 1995.

She was born in Salt Lake City, April 28, 1905, daughter of Joseph and Susan Brazier Mitchell. She married Ernest E. Nielson, Aug. 19, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. She graduated from Granite High School and the University of Utah. She taught school in Granite and Salt Lake School Districts and the LDS Church school in Kelsey, Texas.She served in all of the LDS Church auxiliary organizations and was active in genealogy work. She filled a mission for the LDS Church in the Central States and Texas. She assisted her husband in the organization of the Richfield Branch Genealogical Library, and was an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple.

She lived in Richfield and Manti with her husband, and upon his death returned to Salt Lake City. She moved to Holladay in 1981 and has been a member of the Holladay 4th Ward. Elizabeth was active in several civic and service organizations in the Salt Lake area.

She is survived by two sisters, Alice M. Lillywhite, Provo; and Janet M. Samuelson, Holladay; many nieces and nephews; Fenn E. and Roeene Nelson, Fullerton, California; Rod and Marion Nielson, Salt Lake City; E. Bruce and Kathy Crane, South Jordan; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, Susie Heath, Sarah Olsen, Lucy Lunt and Robert Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31st, 11 a.m., in the Holladay 4th Ward Chapel, 4917 South Viewmont (2085 East), Holladay. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Monday evening, 6-8 p.m., and at the Holladay 4th Ward on Tuesday, from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial, Richfield City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Primary Children's Medical Center or to the LDS Church Missionary Department.
