When doctors examined the X-rays of two men injured in an automobile accident last week, they found both victims had bullets in them. Authorities said they were being investigated in connection with a gunbattle in Idaho two days earlier.

One man was killed and two others were injured in the accident.Box Elder County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Lynn Yeates said Tuesday that the two men would not explain how they were shot or why they were in Utah.

Cassia County, Idaho, Sheriff's Lt. Alan Smith said the pair are being investigated in a gang-related shootout at a Burley residence that involved rifles, shotguns and handguns on Oct. 17.

No charges have been filed.
