SHARE 2 SUU STUDENTS PLACE HIGH AT NATIONAL BUSINESS MEET

Two Southern Utah University business students have placed high in national competition held at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference and Competition at Orlando, Fla.

Nearly 2,000 students from across the country participated in the five-day conference of general and regional business meetings, workshops and competition.Eighth-place national finishes were picked up by both Jamie Shaw, Aurora, Sevier County, and Stafford Southwick, Cedar City. Shaw was competing in the Ms. Future Business Executive competition, and Southwick was entered in the Mr. Future Business Executive contest.

Additionally, an SUU team of five PBL members placed eighth nationally in the AT&T Challenge, a stock market game played throughout the academic year. This is the third consecutive year an SUU team has placed in the top 10 in the AT&T Challenge.

Also representing SUU at the conference were Matt Davis, Cedar City; Chad Finster, Goshen, Utah County; Kim Horsley, Price; Clinton Painter, Nephi; Brent Peterson, West Jordan; Patricia Player, Annabella, Sevier County; Jodee Southwick, Hurricane; and Kim Welch, Sandy.
