Lila Lewis Parratt, 89, died November 10, 1995 after a short illness.
She was born June 10, 1906 in Marion, Utah, a daughter of Henry Lewis and Mary Jane Blood. She married J. Easton Parratt on June 22, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lila was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. Her life was one of service. In the church she served faithfully in many callings, including a Murray Stake Relief Society counselor and as a board member. She was active in the Murray Womens Club, and the DUP. She also spent many hours doing geneology work. Her greatest service was that of being a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed making beautiful ceramics, sewing and handwork.She is survived by her husband who was her loving companion for 68 years; a son, Robert (Laura), of Sandy; a son-in-law, J. Harry Pierson, of Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Flora West, of Murray; eight grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Pierson, a son, Stephen Parratt, four brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the South Cottonwood 7th Ward, 1250 East 4800 South. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Tuesday 7-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
