Josephine Harris Somers, age 73, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 12, 1995 in her beautiful home surrounded by her family. She was the loving and devoted helpmate to her husband, Raymond Charles Somers of Logan.

Josephine was born on June 20, 1922, the 13th of 14 children to Alexander Eli Harris and Blanche Bullen. Both of her parents passed away when she was young and she was raised by her sisters and brothers in Richmond, Utah.Josephine married Raymond C. Somers on January 5, 1942 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had four children. Working together they restored a beautiful home in Logan and enjoyed visiting many other historic homes throughout the United States and Europe.

Josephine was a member of the Logan First Ward. She left a rich legacy of selfless service, hard work, caring and compassion to her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband and four children: Susan and Donald Speth of Providence, Utah; Sondra and Ken Thorell of Salt Lake City, Utah; Richard and Pam Somers of Palmdale, Calif.; Stephanie and Todd Fronberg of Kaysville, Utah; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 15, 1995 at Logan 1st Ward (89 South 200 West) with Bishop Sherman Conger conducting. Friends may call Tuesday November 14, 1995 from 6-8 p.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary (34 East Center Street) and on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Richmond City Cemetery.
