Ronal J. Crump, age 75 of Payson, passed away Saturday, November 11, 1995.

He was born Aug. 12, 1920 in Payson, a son of James and Ruth Klea Sargent Crump. He married Zella Deon Balle, Feb. 13, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ronal lived in Goshen for about 10 years and then returned to Payson. He was educated in the Goshen and Payson schools, graduating from Payson High School. He attended Brigham Young University and was graduated from the Utah Trade Technical College with a major in office management and business. He worked with his father in a garage and Buick dealership in Payson. He then went into the dry cleaning business. He was bookkeeper and office manager for Page Auto in Spanish Fork for eight years. He enjoyed serving as Payson City Recorder for many years before retiring in 1985. He loved people and loved serving others. Ronal had a great love for music and cherished memories of the choruses in which he participated. At the time of his death, he was serving as a counselor in the High Priest Group in Park Ward. He served as Bishop for 7 1/2 years and on the High Council for seven years and various other callings. He served with his wife as ordinance workers in the Provo Temple for eight years and also as Stake missionaries.Survivors include his wife, Zella, of Payson; four children: Sharon C. Johnson, Payson; Jeanette and Dave Roubinet, Bellevue, Washington; Ronnie James and LaVern Crump, Payson; David Leo and Julie Crump, of American Fork; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty C. and Bob Farrell, of Salt Lake City. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by twin brother and sister, Gladys and Glen, a sister Edyth Jean, and a son-in-law, Rodger E. Johnson.

Services will be Thursday, Nov. 16, 1995, 11 a.m., in the Payson Park Ward Chapel, 110 South 300 West. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Wednesday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Thursday, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
