Ernest "Ernie" O'Green, age 79, died November 13, 1995 in Price, Utah.

Born September 6, 1916 in Tooele, Utah, son of John and Ann Kadunce O'Green. Married Stella Smith, December 1946 in Elko, Nevada. Member Catholic Church. Attended Carbon High School. Served U.S. Army during World War II in Africa, Europe, Asiatic and Pacific areas. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for gallantry in combat. Coal mine supervisor at Spring Canyon, AEP, and Kaiser Steel. Retired Member UMWA. Honorary life member Price Elk's Lodge #1550. Life member DAV #16. Past president Slovenian Home, Spring Glen. Past president Spring Glen Canal Co.Survived by wife, Stella O'Green, Spring Glen; one son, three daughters, John E. O'Green, Groveport, Ohio; Jeanne Day, Janis Aberle, Nancy Wiggains, all Las Vegas, Nevada; stepchildren, Richard Smith, Helper; Joyce Smith, Park City; Jim Smith, Bastrop, Texas; two sisters, Elsie Hile, Whittier, Calif.; Alice Bogan, San Rafael, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Stephen Cowan and Frank Whipple; and many other caring, loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, stepson, Robert Smith and sister, Ann Cowan.

Funeral Mass Thursday, November 16, 1995, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil Service Wednesday evening, 7 p.m. Mitchell Chapel. Committal Service, Mtn. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah.
