The chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. will receive the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management International Executive of the Year Award Friday, Nov. 17.
Stanley C. Gault was elected chairman and CEO of Goodyear in 1991 after retiring as chairman and CEO of Rubbermaid Inc. He had been at Rubbermaid since 1980.Gault will speak at 3:30 p.m. in 151 Tanner Building. His address is free.
President James E. Faust, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will present the award to Gault at a private dinner that evening.
The annual award was established in 1974 to honor an outstanding executive from the public or private sector who has displayed exceptional leadership and high moral and ethical standards.
The International Executive of the Year Award presentation is part of the Marriott School of Management's Fall 1995 national advisory council meetings.
