How about saving thousands of dollars of the taxpayers' money? Each year we receive two mailings regarding the property taxes. Come on, who is kidding whom? The first one indicates lower amount, indicating that will be the tax assessed if the increase is not enforced. When did they ever assess us the lower amount - the second notice always indicates that the higher amount is due.
Why not just send one mailing, eliminating the printing, postage, etc. of two mailings, since we all know it's a sham - we're going to pay the higher amount, so why even bother with the ludicrous statement "if the increase is not enforced" and just bill us once. Look at the thousands of taxpayer dollars that would be saved.Betty A. Denos
