The beauty and color of five 32-cent "Fall Garden Flower" stamps are illustrated on a new set of U.S. stamps.

The floral designs show the aster, chrysanthemum, dahlia, hydrangea and rudbeckia. All but the hydrangea are known as "composite flowers," referring to the clustering of the flowers into heads resembling a single flower. Asters are found chiefly in North America and are considered perennials.

This set is part of the Postal Service series of garden flowers available in booklets of 20 stamps.
