If you're sending holiday airmail or packages to foreign friends or servicemen overseas, the U.S. Postal Service has come out with this year's deadlines:

Dec. 4 is the deadline for air parcel post, air letters and cards to Africa, the Caribbean, Greenland, and Central and South America. To Europe, the Far East, Middle East and Southeast Asia, mail by Dec. 11; to Canada, by Dec. 15.Air parcels to Australia should be mailed by Dec. 4; air letters and cards by the 11th.

The deadline for parcel airlift and space-available post for military mail overseas is Nov. 24; priority mail Dec. 4 or 5, depending on the APO/FPO; and Dec. 4 or 5 for overseas air letters and cards. Dec. 13 is the deadline for domestic mail.
