William "Bill" Arthur Llewelyn, age 90, died Nov. 15, 1995 in Sandy.
Born August 1, 1905 in Scofield, Utah, the son of Evan John and Charlotte Emunds Llewelyn. Married Doris Averett, November 13, 1937 in Price, Utah. This marriage solemnized in the Manti Temple. She died November 2, 1976. Later married Genabud Smith Savage, June 3, 1981. Member of the LDS Church. Former resident of East Carbon prior to moving to Draper in 1981. Bill worked in mines throughout Utah for 55 years. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local #9958.He had a great love for baseball, hunting, fishing and was an active member of the East Carbon Wildlife Federation. He also spent countless hours as a volunteer for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources where the "Llewellyn Gulch" was named after him at Lake Powell.
Survived by wife, Genabud Llewelyn, Draper; two sons, two daughters and spouses, William and Juanita Llewelyn, Sandy; Ned and Judy Llewelyn, Providence; Penny Llewelyn and Tammy Llewelyn, both Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three step-daughters, one stepson and spouses; and 10 brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by parents, five brothers and sisters and one stepson.
Funeral services will be Nov. 18, 1995, 10 a.m. at the Draper LDS Ward House, 12300 So. 600 East, Draper, Utah. Family will be at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd., Nov. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Graveside memorial services at Price City Cemetery at 3 p.m. Nov. 18, 1995, under the direction of Mitchell's Funeral Home.
