Let me see if I've got this right: A late-summer news release reveals that nearly 45 percent of the jobs at Micron will pay only $17,000 per year, and an article in the Nov. 1 Deseret News informs that Micron has "purchased the right" to put 250 tons of a certain pollutant into the air annually. Gee, sure sounds like a great deal for Utah County - low-paying jobs and significantly increased air pollution. Why didn't we think of this earlier? I, for one, am very suspicious of our new "Trojan horse" neighbor.
