Edward E. Westhoff passed away November 11, 1995 at his home in Provo, after a long fight with cancer.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 15, 1913 to Albert and Katherine Krause Westhoff. He married Mary Isek on November 17, 1940. She passed away January 17, 1977. He later married Martha Wellington on July 5, 1981.He was employed by U.S. Steel of Chicago, transferring to Geneva in 1944 as a Master Electrician, retiring after 33 years of service. While at Geneva he was very active in the steel workers union, going as representative to several national conventions. He loved the outdoors, enjoying many fishing and hunting trips over the years with family and good friends. He also enjoyed teaching the young hunters how to safely use their rifles. His main hobby was taxidermy, and mounting and painting fish was his specialty. He was a member of St. Francis Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Westhoff, one daughter, Dawn Horne, Salt Lake City; one son, Ronald Westhoff, Springville; three grandchildren, Walter E. Ludlow, James A. Ludlow, Jill L. Berriochoa; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Paul Berriochoa; three stepchildren, Sharon (Dave) Carter, Ed (Jill) Wellington, and Susan (Marvin) Yancey, all of Salt Lake Valley; 11 step grandchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lillian Hackell, Florida; Lorraine Samp, Chicago, Illinois; Marian Lee, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Florence Fox, Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary, a daughter, Martha Mary, one brother and two sisters.

A farewell service was held Wednesday, November 15, 1995, at the Berg Mortuary Chapel in Provo. Interment: Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Committal Service by Father Pedro.
