Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter on Sunday, November 19, 1995. He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Fred was born on December 12, 1905, in Birmingham, England. He married Doris Ward on November 12, 1933; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Fred worked for Hi-Land Dairy for many years and valued his friendships there. Fred was an active member of the LDS Church and served as branch president in England and served in many callings after he came to America in 1953.

He is survived by one daughter, Janice Mitchell and her husband Kay; five grandchildren, Michael and his wife DeAnne, Glen, Todd and his wife Amy, Kimberley Simmons and her husband Scott, and Kari. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Miranda, Mallory and Tyler; and sister-in-law, Jesse Yates and her husband William; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris, his daughter Terry, and granddaughter Terry Ruth.

We as a family thank the Lord for this great man. We love you, Dad, and rejoice that you are reunited with Mom and Terry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 21, 1 p.m. at the Mount Jordan 4th Ward, 235 East 9800 South. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church, Interment, Murray City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
