Many southern Utah communities and a few in northern Arizona will get early gifts from the Garkane Power Association - free electrical service for decorative Christmas lighting.

The towns and cities will get free lighting from Wednesday, Nov. 22, through Tuesday Jan. 2, 1996, from 5 p.m. to midnight, according to Carl R. Albrecht, Garkane manager. Company employees will also assist in erecting lighting.Lights must be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code and with right-of-way permits from the Utah Department of Transportation. They may be erected across city streets.
