Olive Rudy Long Miller Isaksen, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away November 19, 1995 in Salt Lake City.

Born December 14, 1900 in Vernal, Utah to Josiah Philip and Martha Timothy Rudy. Married Dorson A. Long, February 10, 1919, solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, August 29, 1923, later divorced. Married James Jesse Miller on January 31, 1936. He died Nov. 15, 1971. Married Paul A. Isaksen on July 24, 1974.She was a member of the LDS Church and well known and admired for her intricate tatting, netting, crocheting and knitting. Other creations included ceramics and quilting. She collected plants, took joy in her flower garden, and spent many hours in the fall canning the produce from her vegetable garden. She was a great cook and the family looked forward to her Thanksgiving Day dinners. She loved to get in the car and take a trip. One of her favorite destinations was the Uintah Basin.

Survived by husband, Paul; five daughters and their spouses, Irene Redford, Orem; Norma La Rue Bellon Packer, Midvale; Miriam (Lynn) Labrum, Roosevelt; Maisie (Keith) Jackson, Salem, Oregon; Ardis (Dwaine) Allred, Vernal; stepchildren, Joe Miller, Louise Weight, Mildred Ratos and Betty Liddiard, Springville; Mary Blanchard, Long Beach, Calif.; Edris Head, Bennion; Reed Isaksen and Meredith Leigh, Palo Alto, Calif.; sister, Delma Rudy Long, Neola; 23 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, 15 brothers and sisters, daughter, Eunice Long Cook; stepchildren, Essie, Chris, Esther, Viola and Ray; two husbands and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday November 22, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday morning from 9:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
