Our beloved Helen Jean Mageras passed away November 19, 1995 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Born February 6, 1924, in Baker City, Oregon to Franz Emil Wilhelm and Utah "Peggy" G. Hardy. Helen was the youngest of two children. She married John Mageras on May 4, 1961.After graduating from Woodbury College in Compton, California she pursued a career as a commercial artist, working for The Bon Marche, Castleton's and J.C. Penney. Her remarkable talent was expressed throughout her lifetime.
Helen loved adventure and was an avid sportswoman. She loved to ski, golf and spend time outdoors with her family and friends.
She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered as being young at heart.
She will be missed by her husband, John Paul Mageras; her son, Randy Sundin; stepchildren, Dan Mageras, Nancy Mageras, Tom Mageras, Ginny Mageras-Lyman, and Richard Mageras; her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 24, 1995 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Dr. where friends may call from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the many friends and family for their continued caring support, and to the LDS Hospital medical staff for their devoted and dedicated service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 941 East 3300 So., S.L.C., Utah 84106 for research.
