Good success using small crayfish imitations or trolling for cutthroat trout in deeper water. Rapalas are catching many trout. Only one cutthroat trout may be kept. FLAMING GORGE - Fishing has been good to excellent for lake trout and good for rainbows. Lake trout getting ready to spawn, try Linwood Bay. Rainbows up near the surface and reports of good fishing from shore. Try near inlets with flies and lures in the evening and baits during the day. Please keep all lake trout up to legal limit, to help reduce predation from lake trout on kokanee. Please check proclamation carefully as Utah and Wyoming regulations are different.

GREEN RIVER (upper) - Light angler pressure, has had some water fluctuations but good fishing when water level remains stable. Most anglers have switched to scuds, shrimp and other nymphs and working the bottom of deep pools. Anglers using jigs and lures fished slow, neat bottom are also doing well. Reports of good fishing in Brown's Park.

GREEN RIVER (lower) - Fair fishing for channel catfish. Endangered fish live in river, please return them immediately. Check proclamation. For catfish try nightcrawlers, dead minnows or cut fish (white sucker, carp or mackerel). Remember, all non- game fish (except carp) may not be taken from the Green River from the confluence with the Colorado River, upstream to the Colorado State line. So bring your bait with you. The limit is 24 channel catfish, and please keep your catfish to help reduce competition and increase growth rates.
