Weather lore has it that it takes three cloudy days to bring a heavy snow.

There's a chance that could prove true for Utah this weekend, perhaps ending the state's chronic snowlessness.Forecasters predict relatively sunny skies through Thanksgiving, but possibly some moisture by the weekend.

" `Over the hills and through the woods . . .' that shouldn't be a problem," said William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the Salt Lake forecast ffice of the National Weather Service. Getting to grandmother's house should be a breeze this year, with clear and dry highways from Utah into Wyoming, Idaho and southern states.
