While observing the Enid Greene Waldholtz situation as it has evolved over the past week, three points necessitate addressing.

1) Has Enid Waldholtz told the truth on all of those occasions during the past 18 months when asked about the origin of the $1.8 million in campaign contributions?2) As husband and wives or partners in business, risks are undertaken with hopes of making right decisions and reaping a profit or benefit. Inherent within each reward is a consequence. It appears that Enid has been none too hesitant to reap the rewards of questionable actions but now cannot endure the consequences of those decisions.

3) The final issue is that of responsibility and accountability. Whose political campaign was it? Whose congressional office is it? The answer to these questions assign responsibility and consequently accountability.

The justice system must run its course as documents are released, investigated and scrutinized, but attorney Waldholtz must realize the importance of "innocent until proven guilty" even as it applies to Joe. Enid, one must ponder - is your political career so important that you have "misspoken," taken questionable donations, relinquished responsibility and accountability, filed for divorce to further remove your culpability, and now make public statements purporting Joe's guilt, thereby disavowing our entire justice system? As a resident of Utah, as a constituent of the 2nd District and as a thinking woman who "trusts" her husband but is intelligent enough to ask and seek answers, I have one suggestion - resign.
