Boyd Melburn Elkington, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend to all, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, November 20, 1995 at a local hospital.
He was born July 5, 1931, the only son of Dorothy and Melburn E. Elkington. He married Carol Jean Price, August 7, 1959; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Boyd was a bricklayer for 45 years. Many buildings throughout Utah, Colorado, and other Western States display his trade. He was a member of the LDS Church. "Grandpa" will be surely missed by his family and grandchildren who were his whole joy in life.
Survived by wife; four sons, Steven, Vallejo, Calif.; Michael (Keri), Sandy; Brent, Kenai, Alaska; Cory of Sandy; one daughter, Julie Dotson (Scott) of Sandy; sister, Susan (Jim) Roberts; seven grandchildren, Amber, Nicole, Ryan, Erica, Joshua, Ashley and Allyson. Also survived by numerous in-laws, and a special "Aunt Blanche." Preceded in death by parents and one granddaughter, Crystal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 10 a.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
