Those interested in airplanes past and present may attend Airplane Talk every Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hill Aerospace Museum, just off the Roy exit on I-15. The discussions are free and open to the public.

On Dec. 2, Col. Chase Nielsen, a resident of Brigham City, will discuss his experience as a navigator with The Doolittle raid on Japan.Flying the B-25, the Doolittle group flew from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet on April 18, 1942, becoming the first U.S. forces to attack Japan in World War II. Nielsen, who was the only Utahn in the group, was captured and held as a prisoner of war.

On Dec. 9, Major General Rex Hadley, a resident of North Ogden, will discuss the July 1995 recovery of the B-24, #41-908 from Great Sitkin Island, Alaska. This aircraft crash landed after a mission to bomb the Japanese on Kiska Island on January 18, 1943. The airplane will be restored by the Air Force Heritage Foundation of Utah and exhibited at the Hill Aerospace Museum.

On Dec. 16, Lt. Col. Wayne Hungerford, a resident of Roy, will discuss his experience as an F-86 Pilot during the Korean War.
