The name Artis Ivey doesn't draw the awe as his stage name Coolio. The man whose "Gangsta's Paradise" from the "Dangerous Minds" soundtrack shot up to No. 1, will be at the Fairpark Coliseum, Saturday, Nov. 25.
The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets available for $20 at all Sound Warehouse, 2763 S. State. In addition to Coolio, Milka, 40 Thieves, Shorty, Rappin-4-Tay, Rolls Royce, A Train and Jeth Row Da * will also perform.After the show, an annual celebrity fund-raiser will be held at the Little America Hotel Ballroom, featuring a set by Rolls Royce. Tickets for the fund-raiser are available at the door for $20. The price includes an all you can eat snackbar. Proceeds will go to various programs aimed to help at-risk youths.
- Also to help the needy, Coolio will be signing autographs for fans who bring in a brand new toy worth more than $5 at NSO Clothing Outlet, 370 S. 700 East. The toys will be donated to children at the Salt Lake homeless shelter. The signing will begin at 2 p.m.
