Auditions have been scheduled for the following productions:

- LES MISERABLES, sub-titled "Or, at the Desert Star, A Whole Lot Less Miserable," on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. at Desert Star Playhouse, 4861 S. State Street, Murray.The show, an original melodrama satire of the hit Broadway musical, being directed by Edward J. Gryska and scheduled to run Jan. 11-March 9.

The show requires four men and four women, all at least 17 years of age. (Note: No children are needed.) Come prepared with a musical selection, a current resume and recent photograph. Bring your own music. An accompanist will be provided. Auditioners will be asked to sing their song and read from the script. Gryska is looking for comedic performers who are quite versatile. Rehearsals will begin Dec. 2.

- LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, adapted and directed by City Rep artistic director Joanne M. Parker from Laura Ingalls Wilder's classic book. Auditions will be Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the theater, 638 S. State.

All roles are open, including Laura, Mary, Ma and Pa.

Two actresses are required for the roles of Laura - one 6-12 years of age and the other an adult. There are also other roles in the production for male and female adults and children, including Mr. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Oleson, Nellie Oleson, Rev. Alden, Aunt Docia, Aunt Lotty, Grandma, Eva Beadle, Soldat du Chene, Mrs. Towers and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson.

Performances will be Jan. 20-March 9 for a combination of evenings, Saturday matinees and special school-day matinees. For further information, call the theater at 532-6000.

- THE BOILER MAN: A CHRISTMAS STORY on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Vine Street Theatre, 184 E. Vine Street, Murray.

- THE SECRET GARDEN, a StageStop production being produced Jan. 26-Feb. 3 at the Ellen Eccles Theatre in Logan. Auditions will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, in the theater's upstairs annex, 43 S. Main, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The show requires one girl, 11-15; one boy, 10-14, and experienced men and women, 18-70 years of age. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway style tune and do cold readings from the script.
