Here's what's happening musically during the upcoming week.

- THE ROCKABILLY PUNK of Southern Culture On the Skids will be heard at the Cinema Bar, Tuesday, Nov. 28. Doors open at 7 p.m.The band - drummer Dave Hart-man, guitarist/vocalist Rick Miller and bassist/vocalist Mary Huff - was formed in 1985 by Miller and a friend on the basis the "roots" music would be jazzed up a bit. Huff joined SCOTS, as the band refers to itself, in 1987, and later Huff's friend, Hartman, joined and completed the lineup.

The band's big-label debut, "Dirt Track Date," reflects the band's hankering for southern spice and rockabilly punk.

- JOSH CLAYTON-FELT, the former voice for School of Fish, will be at the Bar & Grill, Thursday, Nov. 30. Doors open at 7 p.m. Clayton-Felt is planning to release a debut solo album, "Inarticulate Nature Boy," in early 1996. The album features Clayton-Felt playing everything from the drum to the bass to the trumpet.

- JONO MASON BAND just finished a stint with Blues Traveler and are heading to Salt Lake City. The band will play the Green Parrot Cafe, Thursday, Nov. 30. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The Jono Mason Band - featuring guitarist/vocalist Mason, guitarist Peter Williams, bassist Steve Linday, harmonica blower Thomas Uhde, keyboardist Captain Rudy and drummer Mark Clark - released a debut "Almost Home."

Mason, the "Godfather" of New York's music scene has helped bands such as Blues Traveler, Phish and the Spin Doctors form their sounds for bigger and better things from the depths of smokey New York clubs - the most notable being Dan Lynchs'.
