"The Wittaker Family Christmas Show," starring internationally renowned singer Roger Whittaker, joined by his daughter, J.J. Whittaker, is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. in Abravanel Hall.

The program will include not only a cross-section of Christmas music, a variety of ethnic and folk songs gleaned from Whittaker's global travels and several sing-along favorites.Whittaker has conceived, written and produced the show himself, embracing all of the various musical aspects associated with the Christmas season, combined with many of his hit standards - "Durham Town," "New World in the Morning," `I Don't Believe in If Anymore," "The Last Farewell" and others.

Roger will showcase several songs he has written and recorded himself around the Christmas theme. At one stage in the evening, he'll emerge onstage in the guise of Charles Dickens' immortal character, Scrooge, to sing the comical "I Hate Christmas!"

This marks the fifth season Whittaker and his ensemble have toured North America with the Christmas show.
