Married 70 years ago on Nov. 25, 1925, in Nephi, Utah, and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He served as ward clerk, high priests group secretary, and counselor in Sunday School and elders quorum presidencies. She was ward Relief Society president, Young Women Mutual Improvement Association president and served in other auxiliaries. Members of the Winnemucca (Nev.) 2nd Ward. Parents of three children, they have eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Oleen and Delora Bates Dummer

The most important thing contributing to our long and happy marriage was marrying the right person in the first place.

Married 70 years ago on Nov. 25, 1925, in the Salt Lake Temple. Both taught school in southeastern Idaho, completing their teaching careers by working for 25 years in Burley, Idaho. He was also a part-time hydrographer. He taught the gospel doctrine class for 25 years and she was a ward music director for about the same time. He enjoyed fishing while she spent her leisure time in music. Members of the Burley (Idaho) 10th Ward. Parents of six children, they have 38 grandchildren and 76 great-grandchildren.

Married 70 years ago on Nov. 25, 1925, in the Salt Lake Temple. Lived in Mayfield, Utah, all their lives where he taught school for 45 years and operated a dairy and cattle farm. He has served as bishop, stake president's counselor and temple worker. She is a devoted homemaker and served as Relief Society president, Junior Sunday School coordinator, Primary teacher and temple ordinance worker. They often sang together at weddings and funerals. Parents of five children (three living), they have 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
