Capitalizing on a 15-5 offensive rebound advantage, Lehi defeated Bear River 74-66 in a nonregion boys basketball game Saturday.
Brandon Cooper led the visiting Pioneers (2-0) with a game-high 24 points. Teammate Tyler Turner added 17 as the duo combined for seven of Lehi's nine 3-pointers in the contest.Bear River countered with seven treys, but were hampered by the Pioneers' rebounding dominance. Jared White had 21 for the Bears, while Brian Braegger chipped in 18.

Wayne 68, Delta 58: Brad Lange scored 16 points and Ken Blackburn added 14 in leading the host Badgers past the Rabbits.
North Sevier 51, Gunnison 42: Tyler Taylor finished with 15 points and Brandon Rasmussen added 14 as the Wolves captured a road win.
North Sanpete 61, Juab 54 : Roger Watson's 18 points paced the Hawks past the Wasps. Bart Barrett had 17 for Juab.
Bryce Valley 66, Fredonia 64: Walon and Clint Brinkerhoff combined for 50 points in turning back the visitors from Arizona..
Holiday Inn Invitational
At Cedar City, Justin Bradshaw scored 26 points as Beaver defeated Pine View 69-63 at Southern Utah University. In other action Saturday: Pahrump, Nev., defeated Milford 67-41; Escalante stopped South Summit 63-52; Richfield (behind Andy Oldroyd's 33 points) edged Wasatch 68-60; and Parowan handed Panguitch a 61-50 setback.
Blue & Gold Tournament
At Enterprise, Mike Cox scored a game-high 14 points as Manti blasted host Enterprise 76-41 for the title. Fourteen Templars scored in the contest. In the consolation tilt, Snow Canyon handed Hurricane a 79-66 setback. Casey Shirts had 15 for the Warriors.
Duchesne Tournament
At Duchesne, Bill Hoopes led all scorers with 22 points as Duchesne edged Emery JV 58-54 to go 2-0, while Tabiona did the same with a 97-64 win over Manila. Matt Fabrizio topped the Tigers with 29.
Girls Basketball
Union 80, Kearns 76 : Jenni Nelson scored a game-high 27 points as the 3A Cougars nipped their visiting 5A namesakes. Gelena Alba led Kearns with 22.
Blue & Gold Tournament
At Enterprise, Pine View (2-0) edged Snow Canyon 60-57 to win the tourney championship. In the consolation game, Dixie edged host Enterprise 54-50 in overtime.
Lehi Tournament
At Lehi, Tiffany Ann Massey scored 17 points as Payson upended host Lehi 72-52 for the tourney title.
South Summit defeated Grantsville 67-43 in the consolation game. Brittney Gordon led the Wildcats with 20 points.
