Mayor George O. Stewart, with Provo City Centennial co-chairmen James Pinegar and Mary Alice Collins, announce the creation of a special Centennial Pictorial Exhibit.

The exhibit is planned as one of the many activities slated in Provo to celebrate 100 years of statehood.According to Pinegar, organizers are looking for photos of Provo and the people living in the city during the period of 1890 to 1900.

"We have already gathered several photographs from around the turn of the century and have found it to be very enjoyable to compare Provo today with Provo 100 years ago. Residents of Provo should really enjoy this opportunity to see what Provo was like a century ago."

Individuals who are willing to make pictures available for the exhibit are invited to contact Susan Sorensen for more information, 379-6100.
