As revelations are made concerning the financial dealings of the Enid '94 campaign, it is apparent that questionable money strongly contributed to Enid Waldholtz's election. Enid is sure to try to minimize the damage as the full extent of the campaign fraud becomes public knowledge, and apparently she is even willing to bring in professional spin-doctors to try to manipulate Utahns into viewing Enid as an innocent victim.

What voters should consider is that regardless of the level of involvement of Congresswoman Waldholtz, her election was bought with possibly tainted money. If my spouse were to rob a bank and buy me a sports car with that money, I would feel obligated to give it back. The people of Utah's 2nd Congressional District are the real victims of Joseph Waldholtz. Joseph Waldholtz stole, in behalf of his wife, a seat in Congress, and now Enid needs to do the honorable thing and give it back.David L. Swan
