Weber State returns to the hardwood at 6 p.m. Friday to face Texas Southern in the opening round of the Bank One-Foothill Dodge Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo.
The only question is: Which Wildcat team will show up?After whipping Fresno State 102-86 in the opening round of the Preseason NIT tournament two weeks ago, Weber then received a 80-62 lashing from the Michigan Wolverines.
Game statistics further demonstrate Weber's night and day showing.
The Wildcats shot 58 percent from the field, including an impressive 11-of-21 from 3-point land, against Fresno. At Ann Arbor, on the other hand, Weber only connected on 35.7 percent of its shots and hit just 6-of-26 treys.
The Wildcats have had plenty of time to regroup, something that should help says WSU coach Ron Abegglen.
Texas Southern (0-2) could also use some rest right about now, too, after being walloped by California, 112-73, on Wednesday.
Host Colorado State (2-0) and Northeastern Louisiana (1-1) will play immediately following the WSU-TS game. The championship and consolation games will be on Saturday.
