After years of planning and hard work, Weber State University has completed its new $12 million Student Services Center.
The 74,000-square-foot building was dedicated Thursday with a Navajo spiritual blessing. WSU officials said the center will be fully operational by the start of winter quarter Jan. 2.Students funded half the cost of the project through higher student fees, with the other half coming from state matching money.
Marie Kotter, vice president for student services, said the center was designed to consolidate 20 programs that previously were scattered across the campus.
The building's tenants will include admissions, registration, financial aid, career services, counseling, academic advising, a health office and the multicultural, international, women's and physically challenged centers.
