Weber State conducted Career Night at Colorado State's Moby Gym as the Wildcats did a job on Texas Southern for a 100-88 victory in Friday's opening round of the CSU-hosted Bank One-Foothills Dodge Classic.

Justyn Tebbs logged career bests in points, rebounds and assists - 29, 7 and 6 - while WSU teammate Jimmy DeGraffenreid added 28 points. The two combined to shoot 8-of-14 from 3-point range, while the 'Cats shot 50 percent of their treys for the night.Bart McIntire made his first career start, as Tebbs moved from forward to guard and Alex Fisher came off the bench. McIntire responded with personal highs of four points and five rebounds.

And Damien Baskerville logged career bests of 15 points and seven rebounds as a key reserve. It was uncertain whether Baskerville would even play, since he was suffering from a stomach virus for much of the day.

Weber State improves to 2-1 for the year and advances to tonight's championship game against the winner of Friday's late game between Colorado State and Northeast Louisiana. Despite 38 points from guard Randy Bolden, Texas Southern drops to 0-3.
