Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, James R. Cahoon, passed away December 18, 1995 in Salt Lake City, of a heart attack.

Jim was born September 24, 1913 in Garfield, Utah to Roy Proctor and Vesta Hansen Cahoon. Jim was an active member of the LDS Church (Edgehill 1st Ward) and served a mission to the Hawaiian Islands (1933-1935). He moved from Ogden to open the Salt Lake office of Western Mortgage Loan Co. He was currently a partner and a vice-president of Great American Mortgage. Jim was loved and respected by all who knew him.Survived by his wife, Nina K. Cahoon, of Salt Lake City; four daughters, Nani Hogle, Park City, Utah; DeeAnn Knudsen, Denver, Colo.; Kay Dean (Greg Petit) Chytraus, San Diego, Calif.; and Jeri (Hoss) Madsen, Midvale, Utah; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Thursday, December 21, at 12 Noon, Edgehill 1st Ward, 1750 South 1500 East, where friends may call Thursday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
