The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unveiled Tuesday a new logo designed to emphasize the church's loyalty to Christ.

The new three-line graphic reflects Christ's prominence in the faith, in both proportional sizing and position, said Bruce L. Olsen, managing director of public affairs for the church."The logo re-emphasizes the official name of the church and the central position of the Savior in its theology," said Olsen. "It stresses our allegiance to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

The new design, say leaders, is also easier to read and identify in the electronic media.
