Please give Rep. Enid Waldholtz a break. As I have watched her recent press conference and followed your monthlong cover stories, I am left to conclude that Bob Bernick and Lee Davidson have an ax to grind. Witness the use of Pat Schroeder's opinion on the Waldholtz case on the front page of the Dec. 14 paper. Liberals always want conservatives to resign (and vice versa). Let's be fair and compare apples with apples. Why not use Molinari as the colleague headline reference?
The headlines on Waldholtz have been unfairly accusatory, with a tabloid-style ring to them that does not sit well coming from Utah's oldest paper. All this leads me to conclude that your political staff confuses critical thinking with simply being critical. Present the facts and let us decide for ourselves.If you truly wish to be fair, why not present a transcript of Waldholtz's carefully prepared statement, along with her own answers, instead of Bernick and Davidson's interpretations and suppositions.
